Play Ball: Welcome to San Diego, America’s Finest City, and site of the 2008 Junior World Series.  This year’s event should be the pinnacle of your 2008 tournament season.  We wish you the all the best in 2008.

Tournament Entry Fee:This year’s entry fee is $750.00 plus $35.00 per Manager, Coach and Scorekeeper.

Tournament Giveaways: Include in the entry fee are one dozen baseballs, T-shirts for all participants, the USABF Media Guide, game line-up cards, and a participant BBQ at Check-in.   

             Tournament Central:  Will be located at a site yet to be determined. Tournament Central will be open and available daily to provide you with the most up-to-date information and directions from one hour prior to the first game until the completion of each day’s games.

Check-in:  Tournament check-in will be conducted at a location to be announced at a later date. Each team is required to check-in on Monday, July 21, 2008 between 12 noon and 6 pm. As part of the check-in process, each team will be required to submit their final roster and certificate of insurance.  If you don’t have proof of insurance you will be required to purchase a policy at a cost of $159 per team. The policy will be good for the entire 2008 season ending December 31, 2008.

Manager and Coaches Meeting:  A complete review of all tournament information will be covered during the meeting at a site to be determined.  Every team should plan to attend.

Schedule:  The tournament schedule will be available on July 15, 2008 and will be posted on our website www.jrbaseballofamerica.com  as well as the USABF website: www.usabf.com. Each team will play 3 pool games between Tuesday and Wednesday, with all teams advancing to the elimination rounds played Thursday through Sunday.  The Championship game will be played on Sunday, July 27, 2008.

Playing Facilities:  Each playing venue receives complete field maintenance before and after every game. Most have indoor restrooms and a full snack bar.

Admission:  All Managers are reminded to inform their parents of the daily admission of $7.00 for adults and $3.00 for students and children - 17 years or younger. Admission is valid at all facilities for the entire day.

             Tournament Roster:  The tournament roster for this division is limited to 16 players. Please download the official roster form from our website. This form is optional and should you prefer to use your own version, please note that the players name, birth date, address and uniform number MUST BE included. An incomplete roster will not be ACCEPTED.  Program rosters are very important for the many of our followers.  Your Official Tournament Roster is due at Check-in. Your must submit a roster for the program no later than July 16, 2008. You can either send it via e-mail at usabf@cox.net or fax it to our Corporate Office at (619) 271-6659. 

Lodging:  The USABF has contracted with various hotels within the San Diego area.  For more information please take a look at our accommodations page posted on our websites: www.jrbaseballofamerica.com and  www.usabf.com. Or, contact our cooperate office at (619) 934-2551 for additional information.   

Rental Car Discount:  The USABF has contracted with Enterprise Rent-A-Car as the Official Rental Car agency for its teams and supporters.  Enterprise Rental Cars may be reserved through the USABF website.  Prior to booking your rental vehicles give Enterprise a chance. You can also take advantage of our corporate discount year round by using the corporate code and the first three letter of the company name.
